The Origin and Mission of the Center

Trusting that the church is the best place to embrace its children through-out all their stages of life, his eminence Archbishop Christophoros Atallah with the blessing of his beatitude Patriarch Theophilos III, Patriarch of Jerusalem and all Palestine took the initiation to establish the Orthodox Center, the first of its type in Jordan, in the middle of the forests that overshadow the area with a clean atmosphere, tranquility & serenity & provides all visitors with the 21st century facilities & technology, in order to assist all who are in their prime age, adolescence & all stages of life, who are in need for somebody to hear them, gather them & provide them with a fresh and congenial environment that motivates them to reveal their creative potentials, and elevate their spiritual, cultural and moral life for serving the church, society and the nation.  This will enable our children who wish to serve, to learn & teach, to contemplate & think to achieve their dreams and visions. Thus, the people can find a warm place reigned by love, cooperation and convergence with all brothers to embody Christian-Muslim co-existence that extended for long centuries.

The center’s services are not limited to the people of the country but include the brothers in the neighboring countries & the whole world, so it will turn out to be a source of constructive ideas, a platform for discussions, exchange of views and a council for convergence of civilizations between the east & west. Accordingly, the dream becomes a reality and ambition and visions real, no gorgeous than that!
